LIMA is a home for assistance and consulting in the focus area of industrial application of measurement and instrumentation.
LIMA is also associated with the Lab for Human Motion Analysis and NeuroRehabilitation (HumanLab).
HumanLab draws together engineers, scientists, clinicians and medical researchers to create progress in medical diagnosis, intervention and treatment.
A project within the Centre for Aerospace Manufacturing at Nottingham University. Advanced metrology development for aircraft wing manufacture includes:

The VDI Wissensforum is a knowledge transfer arm of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) and provides a range of further education and training for engineers.
Within its programme it has provided seminars on coordinate measurement technology (Fachtagung Koordinatenmesstechnik).
The previous seminars were the 8th. (2010) and 9th. (2014) in the series.
VDMA - Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau
The VDMA is the German professional society representing mechanical and plant engineering which are major sources of users of 3D metrology. It describes itself as “an important voice for the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry”.

DMIS refers to the Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard accepted by ANSI.
